Printing photo on iPad full sheet 8 1/2 x 11 instead of 3 x 5

I have the iPad 2 and its all set up to wireless print with HP Inkjet 6700 printer I'm trying to print a picture onto a 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper how do I adjust setting as when I print I only get 3 x 5 print in the top left quarter of my page? Is this an Apple 'Photo App' or a HP '6700 printer' problem or would it be I need to download an interface HP app?
