Q: Itunes sync failures when definitely authorised
I've today encountered the dreaded :
"the iphone could not be synced because this computer is no longer authorised for the purchased items that are on the iphone "
Yet when I authorise my computer is says " this computer is already authorised".
Background is my work setup some apps for me before giving me a new iphone. Free stuff - their own safety document links and numerous other free apps etc.
The only way I've been able to get things going is to restore the iphone and download everything. In the process of course I've lost all of the work apps and removed all of the profile security.
Sounds as though itunes will crack it if there is anything previously on the phone it doesn't know about - i.e. Work added apps.
Been through the standard fixes SC folder, authorise each account etc.
I've complicated things a little by having 2 itunes accounts. I'd merge them but of course you can't. I'd delete and redownload via one of the accounts but there is nowhere to tell you which ID you downloaded with. Also you lose all of the data associated with the app if you change ID's.
Just wondering if there was another way I could have gone here? Short of handing out my Apple ID and password to the IT guys.
