iPhone 6 alarm turns my phone off & needs hard reboot with power to turn back on. Alarm doesn't go off. Help!

Just recently my phone alarm has stopped working. I set it as normal now it doesn't go off & it powers off my phone. I have to do the hard reboot with power supply to turn it back on. The alarms show as on but it doesn't go off. Help any ideas?

Hi there Noo101,

It sounds like you have alarms set to go off but when its suppose to sound, your phone turns off and you have to hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons to get it to turn back on. Normally I would start with quitting the Alarm, and the Settings app here:

Force an app to close in iOS

1. Press the Home button two times quickly. You'll see small previews of your recently used apps.
2. Swipe left to find the app you want to close.
3. Swipe up on the app's preview to close it.

When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:

iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

If the issue persists, backup your device to iTunes, then restore it as new and verify that it works.

How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups
If it does, then restore your backup to either verify it still works and the software just needed reinstalled, or isolate the issue to the backup file itself. Thank you for using Apple Support Communities, would you mind updating us to let us know if this resolved the issue for you?
