Q: Mac OS Server 5.0 Caching Problem

Hi all,

I have enabled caching service on our Server 5.0, but for some reason it failed to cache 2 recent updates that I have downloaded. It is on, I can see that some content was cached (Mac software), but only 2.1 MB, while the update was 1.6 GB. There's plenty of space, what can be wrong? I understand that caching is applied automatically, based on public IP address as long as devices are on the same subdomain?

I can see that some content was cached

    How do you know that?

This is my other account. When I click on Services and Caching it tells me how much space has been used at the bottom.

I've just changed permissions to cache content for clients connecting from: all networks (previously only local subnet).Perhaps that was causing problems?

Good luck.  I have been looking for a solution for months and have got nowhere.

Seems like it either works like a champ or doesn't work at all, with no clue as to why.

The only thing working is caching of direct downloads by iDevices and iCloud caching.

Everything else Mac related is ignored.
