Do I need to upgrade Yosemite to 10.10.5 or can I go directly to the El Capitan upgrade? Thanks

Hi Photphil, you can go directly to El Capitan.
You can upgrade to the latest OS X version, which is currently OS X El Cap.
Don't install El Capitan without making a complete backup of your system first. Also, you might want to re-download the Yosemite installer and store it in a safe location, in case you need to use it again.
Thanks to all 3 of you. I have done the backup but not sure about the Installer-how to find it? Seems like the last time I did an upgrade I couldn't see any parts to as it all happened "behind the scenes" Hope that makes sense.
