Q: macbook pro 13 retina 2015 heats too much since update 10.11.4

Hello,

 

Since the last update to v.10.11.4, my macbook pro 13 retina early 2015 heats too much ; about 80-100°c for cpu without doing anything special...

And about 50°c without doing anything.

The fans run really late and really slow (monitor with a software called "mac fans control"). And sometime, it freeze completely.

I've clean the fans, but it doesn't solve the problem.

 

I reset the nvram, smc...

 

Somebody had the same problem ?

How to remove this last update ? No time machine.

Re-install mac os x ? So much to re-install after...

    First try a SMC reset:

    If no success, set Activity Monitor to ALL PROCESSES and CPU to show values from high to low.

     

    When the MBP gets hot, post temperature/fan speed data and an image of Activity Monitor for review.

    Hello,

     

    Thanks for the reply.

    I've already try 3 SMC reset.

     

    I've re-install the 10.11.4 by using the combo offline apple installer :

    And now the fan start working again... really strange ! But good news !

     

    Screens captures :

    CPU around 55°C, remain a bit hot for using on your legs...

    But the fan keep running at 1305 rpm until cpu reach 70-80°c ; It would be interesting to know the system setpoints.

    I should have made my self clear, both the temperature/fan speed information along with the Activity Monitor information is needed to determine if there is a problem with the given applications that are open.  Post images of both.

    The MBP should not be used on a soft surface such as a bed or your lap.  That inhibits air flow that is necessary for proper ventilation of the computer.

     

    The temperatures for the type of applications is a bit on the high side but far from lethal.  Ambient temperature also have an impact on the amount of heat that will be inside the MBP.  A fan or air conditioning can lower the temperatures significantly as well as proper positioning on a flat surface.
