Some OSX apps freeze until logout/in

I`m having this annoying problem with el capitan in my macbook pro 15" 2010, i5, ssd, fresh install; after 1 day of uptime, with everything working ok, some OSX apps freeze, and you cant use neither this apps or the save/open dialog; other apps works, like finder, prefs, among others.

When it happens it never works again, until I reboot; recently I findout that if I logout and in again it solves the problems... so does anyone have heard about this before?

Thanks

Hey there srsilva,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

If I understand correctly, there's an intermittent issue that's related to some applications to stop responding on your MacBook Pro. Try taking a look at the article linked below which will help you identify where exactly the issue is occurring and resolve that issue.

Isolating issues in Mac OS X - Apple Support

Hey guys!

Thank you so much for replying in my post!

Well, first, yes, this is an issue and I have kind of isolated it, partially; so I don`t know when it begun; I know that it only affects some apps; when this apps freeze (some OSX apps and any other app trying to use save/open dialog), like notes, contact, facetime, messages, mail, it wont open anymore; so yes, I can force close all of them, but when I try to reload, it will not open anymore; let me just use another example; lets say I am using firefox; it works fine, but if I try to save a page (use save dialog), it will freeze! Firefox can be force closed and then reopened, but not the internal osx apps cited before. I dont know why this happens; I was thinking that it was due to some problem in files; corrupted files or so; but I have done several scans with disk utility trying to solve this; it seems that in El Capitan there is not much what to do; so mostly I have tried to use the default tools to check the filesystem, which always seems to be ok, I mean, there doesnt seem to be any corrupted files; even because, you are going to agree with me that if there were any corrupted file, I will never be able to read that file again until I reinstall it, and it has never been done.

The frequency of the problem is mostly after 1day of uptime (turn on the computer from scratch) or logging in; no more than this; at first I just was thinking that the problem was with filesystem then I just rebooted the system and everything begin to work again! all the programs, everything! Then this week I had another idea and created another user in OSX, and just tried to see if, when my user apps are frozen (cited above), the other user could use the same apps; and guess the answear? yes, when my user simple cannot use any of that apps cited above, even if I finish then and try again, any other user in the system can use the same programs!!! How could that be? I am linux administrator for more than 10 years and everything that I know that could cause this kind of thing is related to filesystem corruption; but if this is the case, rebooting the system would never help.

If I have to reboot or even sign out and in I loose my workspace; and that interruption is terrible for me!

Have been told to reinstall the system again, but I have a production system and cannot afford to reinstall and configure everything right now.

If I can`t correct it then I am thinking about just moving my files to another user.

Well, thank you so much for your attention; any help with any of this would be apreciated!!!
