Can I install Apple Remote Desktop on Mac OS X 10.11

I have updated my MacBook to OS X 10.11. When I install Apple Remote Desktop 3.3, I am unable to select the Macintosh HD. It has the yellow triangle that says "Remote Desktop can't be installed on this disk. This software requires Mac OS X 10.6. I have installed it successfully on Mac OS X 10.10.

MacBook Air, OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)

Are there any encrypted volumes or file vaults on the computer?

They may be problematic when attempting to set up an ARD.

Version 3.8 appears to be a newer one, it costs about $80.

Is the version of remote desktop the most current? There is a client

& admin version. There may be another way using other software

to remote access another Mac, that does not require Apple R.D.

Good luck...! 🙂
