Q: How to see conversations view when displaying Messages in Split view in OS X

Hey guys,

I sometimes put Messages app in Split view. At certain point conversations are no longer visible which is fine. But then I would like to switch to another conversation. How to do that - without resizing Messages to 50% and then back to how narrow I like them? Or without temporary exit from Spit view. Is there any keyboard shortcut to display Conversations? The other app is Safari.

Thanks!

    Hi,

Which is left and which is right ?

I take you are trying to describe that the Side Bar  is no longer visible when you have Messages on the right ?

IF so how wide is the Side Bar ? Heads only or Heads and Preview ?

IF it is only the heads then try dragging the divider to the right and showing the Preview as well so it does not disappear when the Sent Messages move the right hand side to the left.

The other thing to do is pre- narrow the Main Messages window before putting it in Split View.

Actually, the thread "Messages in split view doesn't really work"

covers what I wanted to do.

I wanted to have Messages at 1/4 of screen width and to be able to look at the contents of the conversations and to quickly switch between conversations. That is not possible when Messages' window is too narrow. Unless using the trick described in the thread above.

Thank you you all for the answers.
