Trash no longer works after RAID

Title pretty much says it all.

I have an older "Tower" MacPro and I've just put two internal disks into RAID 1 using the terminal in El Capitan. Whenever I put something in the trash it gets deleted immediately (with a warning from Finder). How can I fix this?

Cheers.

Yeah, no. The shared volume thing is silly because it wasn't a shared volume, it's an internal RAID drive.

I just didn't have the correct permissions on the .Trash folder in the route of my home folder, permissions must've gotten screwed up when I used Ditto to copy everything across. Its fixed now.
