Q: Advice regarding creating new apple id
When creating a new apple id what is best practice? Create a new apple id using an @icloud.com address or using an existing email address (gmail, outlook etc.)? I have no intentions to use iCloud as main email but what address will provide most flexibility and best user experience with iCloud, iOS and OS X?
Is it wise to use two separate apple ids, one for iCloud services and another for iTunes and App Store purchases?

For simplicity, I recommend you only use ONE Apple ID. Purchases made through the App or iTunes Store are PERMANENTLY tied to the Apple ID. They cannot be transferred to another Apple ID. If, for some reason you need to CHANGE your Apple ID, see this:
