Q: how can use my mac to delete photos from all my devices

I have an iMac, iPad and iPhone. I transferred all the photos from my phone to my photos app on my iMac. How can I delete photos simultaneously on all devices from my mac?

If I have photo stream activated on iPhone and iPad will deleting photos from photos app remove  the photos from my devices?

I have all my photos on iCloud photo- is it better to delete them here and then all photos will be deleted from devices?

would it help if I bought iPhone 11 the missing manual or iPhone 11 books?

my goal is to edit my photos on mac and any photos I delete here would be removed from my devices and iCloud photo.

Oones you enable Cloud Photo Library on all your computers and iDevices, any action you take on one will be synced to all other devices. There's nothing special that you need to do for it to work.

When iCloud Photo Library is enabled, you no longer need, or should use, My Photo Streaming.

You don't need to pay for user manuals. Launch iBooks on your device or computer and search for iPhone or iPad iOS 9 User Manual eBook by Apple. It's a free download.

OK, so if you are using iCloud Photo Library as you indicate below, you wouldn't be importing them to your Mac, they would be automatically uploaded  to the iCloud Photo Library. So we need to make sure that you actually have iCloud Photo Library turned on everywhere.

If I have photo stream activated on iPhone and iPad will deleting photos from photos app remove  the photos from my devices? Again, if you have iCloud Photo Library enabled, then you don't have a Photo Stream anymore. Everything would display under "All Photos" on your device.

my goal is to edit my photos on mac and any photos I delete here would be removed from my devices and iCloud photo. If you do turn on iCloud Photo Library on your Mac and all of your devices, then as Rysz indicates, any action you take on any of your devices or your Mac will be reflected on your devices. So, if you want to delete photos from your Mac, then they would also be deleted from your devices automatically, since they are all actually housed on iCloud, and iCloud pushes what it has back to all of the devices and computers signed into the same iCloud account with iCloud Photo Library turned on.

MyPhotoStream will not sync devices - only iCloud Photo Library syncs devices

and there is no iPhone 11 (the latest iPhone is the 6

and if you actually mean iPhoto '11 it can not use iCloud Photo Library - you need Photos 1.5 with OS X 10.11.4

To get help you need to give us details on what you have

    but the solution to

is OS X 10.11.4, Photos 1.5 and iCloud Photo Library

I have photo library turned off- i have over 17K photos and it is overwhelming to have all photos on all devices + I need to be connected to wifi on my iphone/ipad in order to see my photos so I use photostream. from your answer and the other answers it seems I have to manually delete photos from ea. device..

    thank you for your help

Yes - to keep all libraries in sync you use iCLoud Photo Library - otherwise you do it manually

BTW - I have over 17,000 photos in my small library that I use ICPL on (over 80,000 in my large library) and it works great with two Macs, two iPhones and an iPad Air
