Q: Slow MacBook Air

I have a mis-2013 MacBook Air running OS X Yosemite 10.10.4. Processor: 1.3 GHz Intel Core 15,  Memory: 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3. My Macintosh HD storage states if have 37.83 GB free of 120.47 GB. I downloaded "Dr. Cleaner Elite" from the app store & it states I am using about 3.30 GB of my memory.  I'm not sure if this is good as my laptop can get sluggish & I do get the "spinning rainbow wheel" quite often when I click on items or links. Any info would be appreciated.  Thank you.

A better place to look at RAM usage is Activity Monitor:

    https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201464

    https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203184

Download and post an Etrecheck report:

    Ciao.

Uninstall Symantec. It is a worthless scam on the Mac.

After uninstall Symantec, run another EtreCheck report but this time when you post it please use a cut and paste to maintain the formatting so that it is possible to analyze the report in greater detail.

Symantec is useless, for Mac you do not need to install a standalone antivirus software, you can get more help from App Store, just like you download the Dr. Clean Elite, you can try other apps from Dr. Clean company.
