Q: Apple Watch Move Goal Issues

Hi All,

I have had my Apple Watch since release day.  At first Ioved my watch and found it great for all uses, especially the Activity tracking as this was one of the main reasons I bought the watch, to track fitness goals.  For the first couple of months I would get great results from all of my activities, especially my Move Goal, this would almost always be double sometimes triple my goal.  After the first OS update to 1.0.1 I noticed that things were not recording quite as well as they had been before and found that many days where I was doing the same amount of activity I was not even reaching my move goal (without purposefully pushing myself much more).  I know many people had this issue, and the update to Watch OS 2 did correct this for many people.

For me however, it has never really changed, I tried un-pairing my watch and then re-pairing it, this has still not helped.  After the repairing my recommended move goal was reset and I would reach it by being 'extra' active, because of this I have maintained a move goal of 510 for many months now as it would not regularly go over this.

To give you an idea of how much of a difference I am finding, my move goal within 3 weeks of getting my watch because I was doing so well.  And like I said I would almost always at least double it.

My partner has had his Apple Watch since the same time as me, but his records much better and even when we are mostly as active as each other in a day he gets way higher results than I do.

I have tried recalibrating the watch and everything else I can think of.  Does anyone have any other suggestions?  Before I take my watch back and get it swapped out for a new one?
