MacBookPro Early 2008 Help

I've had an on going issue, I've seen a lot of people have had the same issue. I actually traded an amp for my MBP, (MBP 15 early 2008) nothing had ever been replaced on it, shortly after i got it the battery life started to die fast. I ordered a new battery, it worked really great for like a month or 2 then same issue, now the battery isn't working at all. if i get unplugged from the charger (which is to easy being the magnet) has to removed the none chargeable battery hold power for 10sec, plug back in hold for 10 more sec, then put battery back in and it starts right up with no issues, like noting was ever wrong, what ever i can deal with that for now, what is killing me is the keyboard stopped lighting up as soon as the second battery stopped working and the SuperDrive won't take any disk, (tired the cleaning disk) acts as if its not getting any power to it at all, with battery not working that makes sense.if i get really lucky when i do the 10sec thing both will randomly work, but if for any reason it gets turned off, it might be several months before i can get them to work again. i just started a work at home job (as a second part time call rep, saving for my wedding) so yes I'm living on this thing at night time, i can not even explain how great it would be if someone could tell me a fix. Now sadly I'm not able to take it to the Mac store I'm having money issues or else i wouldn't be working the second job... i feel like I've read 10k things to fix the boot up issue, noting else works, which I'm sure is the main cause right?. system showing no battery available, currently i have OS X Yosemite V 10.10.5, i need to update when having the time. this is where the battery info should be listed, this is all is showing under power today (today meaning when rebooting sometimes it shows different info..)

Sadly I think your best option is to take it to an authorized service center for evaluation and possible repair. Keep in mind that you have a very old computer that is no longer supported. See Vintage and obsolete products - Apple Support for more information. Alternatively you could buy a refurbished Apple computer or you might look at inexpensive Windows computers given that money is tight.
