iPhone 6 will not restore

iPhone 6 will not restore. tried hard reboot and nothing. Does anyone have a suggestion? The screen shows "iTunes" icon and a cord telling me to connect.

Hi,

Do you have more details as a "error code" from iTunes. There might be a reason that your phone won't restore. May be your USB Link, try another one ?

Or turn off your System Protection...

The only thing I get is my mac tells me "The iPhone could not be restored. This device isn't eligible for the requested build." I have no other options with the phone.

Try the steps here: If you see Error 3194, Error 17, or 'This device isn't eligible for the requested build' in iTunes - Apple Support
