Q: Will Final Cut Express HD work in El Captain?

Does anyone have experience with Final Cut Express HD working - or not working - after upgrading from Yosemite to El Captain?  It works on Yosemite but I'm scared to upgrade

Thanks

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5), Final Cut Express HD 3.5.1

How did you install it on Yosemite?

Here is a link to a method that may work. Or  it may not. I have it on a list of things to try and may get to it this week. If you do upgrade, you might want to create a new partition for am alternate boot disk and install 10.11 on that to test the install. Either that. or have a full system back that you can restore from. Or wait for me – or someone else – to test and report back.

Hi Russ, When I bought my new computer, I think it transferred over along with everything else from my old one.  The link in your reply goes to a thread about Final Cut Pro, not too sure if it's the same deal for FC Express? Partitioning boot disks is a bit beyond me so I'll wait to see if you or anyone else  has any further advice... Thanks, M
