Upgrade from 10.5.8

Hello. I have a iMac 2009. I was searching for upgrades , it upgraded successfully and i saw El Capitan in app store. I installed it and mac was not working very well with this version so i decided to downgrade. I used a DVD with Snow Leopard 10.5.6. I searched for updates and it updated only to 10.5.8 and now it doesn't find upgrades anymore, so i can't update to 10.6.8. It's very bad because a big part of programs are not working on this version and i can't use normally my mac...How can i upgrade it?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.5.6)

Have you checked in Purchases in Mac App Store. If you previously purchased it, you should be able to re-download it.

You need to install Snow Leopard from a DVD; 10.5 is Leopard, not Snow Leopard. If you don’t have one, click here.

Snow Leopard was never available for Download. That trend started with Lion.

To update to Snow Leopard the DVD is required, and can be bought from Apple here:
