Can't delete a file

I have just converted to a mac as some of you may know. I have a few external drives that have been used on NTFS. I have been moving things around so that all can be on Mac drives. One however is still NTFS, on this drive are things i want to keep but do not have enough free space to copy them off. On this drive is a file IMG001.exe, it's a trojan i believe and though i would be able to delete it but mac will not let me, The files is read only and i cannot change this for some reason.

If i connect it to the PC laptop it will be transferred back on that system. How can i delete it please.

iMac with Retina 5K display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)

The Mac OS X can only read NTFS formatted drives. It can not write to a drive formatted as NTFS. Because of the write limitation, it can not delete that file or any file from a drive formatted as NTFS.
