Stopped - IO service parameter error...

At one time I could print to our office Canon iPF605 printer. After iOS updates, I can no longer print to this printer. There is 5 other people in my office with Macbook Pro computers that have never had an issue with printing to this printer, even after updating iOS. I receive the following message after setting up the iPF605 with the latest driver from Canon" Stopped - IO Service parameter error... I have not been able to find any solutions. Canon says it is my MacBook that is the issue.

OS X El Captain

Version 10.11.1

MacBook Pro 13" Mid 2012

Processor 2.5 GHZ Intel Core i5

Memory 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Graphics Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X El Capitan (10.11.1), null

I had the same problems and tried everything but it did not work. Then I just changed the protocol from IPP to LPD when adding the printer and it works now.
