Q: my apple macbook pro is not showing display mirroring option

Cable is not being detected.

Display settings under system preferences do not show any options to change.

Therefore, the external monitor must not be detected.

What can I do?

What type of cable are you using?

Have you tried a different cable?

How is the monitor being connected to the Mac?
What output on the Mac are you using?
What specific cable or adopter?
What input on the monitor?
You are selecting the right input on the monitor, right?
