Q: Lugs for Nylon band very hard to push in.

Just received my nylon strap from Apple. The lugs are very hard to push into place on the apple watch. Especially compared to how easy it is to slide the sport bands in and out.

Yes...I'm putting the bands in at the right orientation.

    Hi

Check that you are following Apple's instructions for changing the band:

Change your Apple Watch band - Apple Support

If you are concerned about a potential manufacturing defect with your band, contact Apple Support (mail-in service may be available) or make a Genius Bar reservation with a view to having it checked under warranty:

I had the same problem with a black nylon strap that I ordered from Apple. The top strap was very hard to push into place, and it was even harder to remove. So difficult in fact, that I thought I was going to twist it out of shape trying to remove it from the watch. None of my other straps display this flaw. I contacted Apple Support and exchanged it by mail. The new one goes on and off much better – like it's supposed to! I think they got a bad batch of them with a manufacturing defect. They were back-ordered for a while and perhaps they rushed them out.
