How many failed attempts at your passcode do you get before your lock out
iPhone 6s, iOS 9.3.1
The first disable is after 6 failed attempts. See below from If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support
If you enter the wrong passcode in to an iOS device six times in a row, you'll be locked out and a message will say that your device is disabled.

My 5s (with iOS 9.3.1) has the option to erase data (over and above disabling which is not optional). On the 5s it is after 10 attempts. I would have guessed that it was the same for all models -- but it would have been a guess!

Thanks -- I probably would have been wondering all day why the security on a 6s would be different than a 5s! 😉
