My Telus iPhone 6 won't register my Telus SIM card. What do I do?

I Bought an iPhone 6 off a friend. It's a Telus phone. It won't activate with my Telus SIM card..... It says the sim is not supported by the carrier. intook it to a Telus store and they said yes it's a Telus phone but they don't know why the SIM card won't work. Why and how can I fix this??

I understand you're getting a message that your iPhone is giving you a message the the SIM isn't supported. For assistance with this issue please follow the steps outlined below.


Get help

Follow these steps if you have any issues or if you see this message in iTunes or on your device:

"The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported. Only compatible SIM cards from a supported carrier may be used to activate iPhone. Please insert the SIM card that came with your iPhone or visit a supported carrier store."

  1. Restore your iPhone to factory settings.
  2. Contact your carrier to make sure that the unlock was applied in your carrier's system.
  3. Restore your iPhone from a backup.
