I just have a Project which goes directly to the logic main screen - no folder.
This is in the Finder, not in Logic. The project file is stored on disk in the manner my screenshot shows. Your display may be different, as this is in list view (cmd-2). The rule is: when you save a project for the first time, it either creates a project folder, or it uses the folder it is saved to and created an Audio File folder in there.
I usually save as folder and have no problem. In this instance the song was given to me as a project and there are no other associated folders. I can search for it in the Logic music folders but there's nothing in there. The files are there somewhere (and I've now saved the project as the folder and can access everything I want., ) but it's annoying not knowing where the audio files are when saved as a Project! - I'm getting used to Apple making everything more complicated now that Steve Jobs has left us! Thanks for your time anyway.
So you are saying the audio files are used and found by the project, it is just that you don't know where they are? In that case Open a Project Audio browser window (cmd-9) and you can read the file path in the right hand column.
Also, you can resave the project in its' own folder and tell it to copy the audio files over to that folder.
And then you'll have the audio files with the project file in one folder.
