Changed SIM and cannot get new number under imessage

Can some help me get my new number to show up for imessge and face time? I have turned both off and reset the network and phone, did not work. When I log in to my apple id it shows my emails, with checks and my old number with a loading symbol and it keeps saying waiting for activation. I just moved from the US to Germany. Under phone it shows my new number, under the carrier setting it shows my number I can make a receive calls. It is only the imessage and face time that will not load.

Go to Settings > Messages > Send and Receive > Sign out. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Go back to Messages and sign back into iMessage. See if it shows the correct number then.

If you are seeing iMessage report waiting for activation, then you need to do just that, wait. It can take some time, and the troubleshooting steps for activation ask you to wait for 24 hours. Also, every time to turn it off and attempt to start again, the 24 hour waiting period resets. Activation of iMessage requires the hidden send and receive of an SMS to the Apple server in the UK. Make sure that your carrier allows for international SMS, and that they are a supported carrier for Apple. Otherwise, that SMS could get blocked at the carrier level and would prevent your iMessage activation.
