Someone recieved a text I didn't send!

Earlier I received a text from a number not in my contacts. She stated I texted her asking for lunch money. She sent me a screen shot, and sure enough-there's my phone number and a text supposedly from me. I've never had this issue in the 8 years I've had an iPhone! Help! verizon is my carrier.
