The mic on my thunderbolt display is not working. It does not appear as a sound input device in settings. I am using the display with a Mac Pro 2013 running Yosemite. Any ideas?

- If it is repairable reinstall the OSX

- If you do not have a backup use disk utility to restore the internal disk to an external disk so you can try to recover data.
Then format the startup disk and do a fresh install of OSX
