Safari keeps crashing on iPad2, running update 5.1.1. It states software is up to date.

Your iPad 2 can update to iOS 8.3.

Unless this is a first generation iPad, then it cannot be updated beyond iOS 5.1.1

I'm sorry, my mistake. It is a first gen iPad. Am I correct in understanding that it can never be updated beyond 5.1.1? So in theory it's best to

go ahead and just replace it now? Thank you for your response.
