Mpg2-problem om Mac

Hi, I have just converted a lot of DVs to mgp2 and they are not working properly on my powermac (quicktime). The sound starts ok, but after some seconds I loose the sound. When I stop and start again, I hear the sound some second - and so on. Advise?
