There is no way to archive text messages for retrieval down the road. You could copy and paste them into an app that will let you transfer them to your computer, or you can take screenshots and save them in the photos app, but using text messages as way of storing important communications, makes no sense at all, IMHO. If your communications are that important, use an IMAP email account where you can create folders for saving important messages and communications.
You can save photos from text messages by tapping and holding down on the photos until you get the Save option. The photos will be saved to the photos app. Then can import the photos to your computer if they are important to you.
