I see files in my Utilities folder containing the words Adobe AIR. What is Adobe AIR, and do I need it on my Mac?
I already purged my Mac of all files having to do with Adobe Flash Player.

The Adobe AIR runtime enables developers to package the same code into native applications and games for Windows and Mac OS desktops as well as iOS and Android devices, reaching over a billion desktop systems and mobile app stores for over 500 million devices.
Don't need it for a whole lot. I have it installed for two apps which are written for it; ColorNavigator, which is the profiling software that comes with EIZO monitors, and Adobe's Muse CC, which for whatever reason they wrote as an Air app instead of using a standard programming language.
What is Adobe AIR used for?
