how to transfer a playlist from old mac to new mac

I just copied a CD on my old Mac Itunes (because I don't have CD player in new Macbook air). Then I created a playlist with the CD tracks. Now, how to transfer the new playlist from old mac to new mac?

MacBook, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5), null

THanks, that is helpful. But meanwhile I figured out another solution, much easier for me than upgrading or dealing with iCloud mess: I created a playlist with the CD tracks, selected it into a newly created folder on my desktop. Then, I copied it on a USB and finally transferred it from the USB on my other Mac and dragged the songs into my iTunes library.

I Am not sure I know how to use iCloud well. It is not working for me as far as photos are concerned. I find myself with photos duplicated up to 4 times on my iPad. And the cloud has limited storage space, unless you pay for exta.

Hello rbaenzm,

I understand you want to get some music from a CD into your new MacBook Air, but you don't have a CD player. Since you've already imported your CD into the iTunes Library of your old(er) Mac, you can use Home Sharing to share these files to your MacBook Air:

Share your iTunes library over your home network

If you are planning to do this often, it may be easier to just attach our Apple USB SuperDrive to your MacBook Air.

Your profile shows that you are running OS X Mavericks on your computer. If you update to OS X El Capitan, and subscribe to our new Apple Music service, you can enable iCloud Music Library to sync your music across all of your devices. Click on the links below for more information:

Upgrade to OS X El Capitan

Join Apple Music on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC

Sync Apple Music across your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and computer

With your Apple Music membership, you can access your music library on all of your devices using iCloud Music Library. When you sign in to Apple Music on any of your devices, you can see your library in My Music.

Your music library includes:

  • songs, albums, and playlists that you added from the Apple Music catalog;
  • music that you bought from iTunes; and
  • music from other sources in iTunes on your Mac or PC, including CDs that you ripped and music that you created yourself.

Cheers,
