iTunes library on computer not showing as downloaded

I decided to not renew my iTunes match subscription. Now my entire library shows as not being downloaded (with the cloud icon next to every song, album, etc.), but the content is still on my hard drive in the library. If I download a song, it creates a second copy of the file. This is terrible! How do I get iTunes to recognize all of my original files?
