Q: Error -1 after IOS Update

Hi,

i have a big problem with my Ipad Air 128GB Wifi+ Cellular.

I tried to update my ipad to version 9.3.1 yesterday. After the update the ipad had a black screen with the itunes logo in the middle with a usb icon. I paired it with itunes and this is what it said:

"The ipad could not be restored. An unknown error has occured (-1)."

I tried to restore it with different USB-cables on different laptops (windows 10, windows 7) with deactivated firewall and deactivated anti virus and current version of itunes.

I always get the same error...

Before the update the IPad worked perfectley without any error or problems. I updated it many times before, never had any problems... and no it seems dead.....

Please help.

Check for hardware issues
If you see error 53, learn what to do. If you see one of the errors below, you might have a hardware issue:
1, 3, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16
20, 21, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 34, 35, 36, 37, 40, 56
1002, 1004, 1011, 1012, 1014, 1667 1669
Here's what to check:
Make sure that you have the latest version of iTunes.
Check for issues with third-party security software.
Make sure that your USB cable, computer, and network are reliable. Then try twice more to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod.
If you still see the error message, you can check for outdated or modified software or contact Apple support.
