COMPUTERS CONFIGURED WITH FIREWIRE?
What current Apple computers i.e. pro, mini or iMac, are still sold or can be configured with Firewire ports?

Click here and check; in addition, a Mac with a Thunderbolt port can use a FireWire adapter.

At the present time none of them have a Firewire port.
Any of the Macs that have a ThunderBolt port can be made ready for Firewire by using a ThunderBolt to Firewire adapter.
Hmmm,
I looked a lot this AM at Apple's iMacs web pages, and in the promo pages where potential options can be found, I saw and copied these options:
Current iMac processor configurations:
2016 iMac
Up to 3.7 teraflops of graphics computer power
Up to 4.0 GHz quad-core i7 processor
Up to 4GB GDDR5 memory
Up to 3TB Fusion Drive
Up to 1TB flash storage
20 Gbp/s Thunerbolt 2
10 Gbp/s Thunerbolt
5 Gbp/s USB
0.8 Gbp/s FireWire 800
Obviously, I found no configurations within the listings for the 21" or 27" units with a FireWire port.
Otherwise, I wouldn't have asked the question.
So, this is the reason I did ask the question, which has had 2 responses… Thank you very much!
BUT,
Is Apple playing with our minds????
Could you please post the URL where you found that information?
Directly from the current iMac tech specs here http://www.apple.com/imac/specs/:
3.5 mm headphone jack
SDXC card slot
Four USB 3 ports (compatible with USB 2)
Two Thunderbolt 2 ports
10/100/1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45 connector)
Kensington lock slot

There's a difference between having a Firewire port and being able to connect a Firewire device.
For those looking for a reference to NEW IMacs with Firewire, here is the URL and image of the page.
The page is not so obviously touting just Thunderbolt 2 and comparing it to the other three technologies.
So, it does appear, at second glance, to be advertising advantages of the connection methods for the TB2 vs others.
