THis question has been asked before, but I'm asking again because it appears that the capabilities of the iPad were limited in 2012. I want to get the latest information. Bacically,, I want to be able to print anything that appears on my iPad screen.

Printing options depend on the type of printer you have. If you have an Airprint capable printer, start here:

If you have some other sort of printer, check the App Store to see if there is an app that supports the printer.
To print exactly what's on the screen, take a screen shot by tapping the Home and power buttons at the same time. Print the resultant picture.
I had no idea that it was going to be this complicated, but I have a Canon Pixma MX922. It's called a three-in-one.

Complicated? Hardly.
Assuming your printer support Airprint, read the article that Meg already linked and be on your way.

No. Airplane mode disables the radios on your phone. It has nothing to do with printing (other than if you have WiFi turned off, you won't be able to use AirPrint). Printing uses AirPrint. Did you read the article I linked to?
NO, I did nor read the article because both of you said to do so IF I am able to use AirPrint, and I don't even know what AirPrint is. How can I determine if My computer uses AirPrint?
OKay, I just learned that my iPad operating system does include Airprint, so I guess I'll be able to coast on in. I have iOS 9.3.1 installed in my iPad, and AirPrint has been incorporated in iOS since iOS 4.2. So unless I'm missing something, which is possible, I'm all set. However, it's been a long day, so I'll do it tomorrow. Thanks for your help.

The article explains AirPrint. Do you have an AirPrint capable printer?
It can be done. I don't like the procedure, but if I do it often enough to make it second nature, it should be okay. In any event, I have now printed two images on my Canon printer with my iPad, and I might print more, since my iMac is now down (it's making funny noises that Apple Care says will require a trip to an Apple Store to fix). I might even download a printing app.
