Accessing material in iCloud
I Have received a message from Apple stating that my iCloud storage is reaching its limit. How can I access my material in iCloud to delete items some items to make more space for storage?

iCloud merely backs-up ypur device. If you delete stuff from your iPad it clears up space in your iCloud back-up. Photos take up a lot of room. Also email I believe if you have a iCloud.com email address.

I am fairly new to iPad, so you can only delete from iCloud if you delete from your iPad. You cannot choose which items to back up to iCloud whilst retaining all of them on the iPad which has a larger memory than that of the free amount allowed on iCloud.

On your iPad go to Settings > iCloud > and select what you would like to backup to iCloud. Lots of choices there... I only backup my Contacts and Safari. What you don't backup stays on your iPad but it would not be part of a backup in case in your iPad craters. You can always backup to your computer using iTunes and those backups include nearly everything as size is not usually a problem. Your photos should be imported to your computer separately to be on the safe side.

You have all been very helpful. One thing that puzzles me is that I have been getting messages for some considerable time stating that my iPad has not been backed up whilst charging because of lack of space, but only now am I getting emails telling me this.
