Mac Pro does not recognize thunderbolt disks

Hi there

After moving to a new location my Mac Pro does not recognize Thunderbolt disks anymore. (Nor FireWire)

Do I have to reinstall OSX and how do I create a setup image on a USB stick

Mac Pro (& MBP/MBA/iPad), Mac OS X (10.6.4), 18GB, 2x 2.8GHz Quad Core

Unless the disks or cables were physically damaged during the move moving shouldn't have an effect.
