bootcamp help. deleted applessd.sys

ok is there a way to reinstall bootcamp. i was trying to install windows 7 and on the mac forum it said to delete applessd.sys. i did that and still didn't work. now i also got windows 10 and error happens when loading to usb through bootcamp

i also seen something about downloading bootcamp support and adding to root of usb. does that mean just copy to usb and ad the iso?

AppleSSD.sys has some issues (lack of signature, only required for specific models, etc.).


Please see Install Windows 7 and earlier on your Mac using Boot Camp - Apple Support, the step 11 in a the New W7 install part.


You can also temporarily install software on the OS X side that will give you read-write access to Windows (Paragon NTFS, Tuxera, NTFS-3g, etc.) and copy the installer package downloaded using BC Assistant to the Windows side. Once it is copied, you can run setup.exe from the Bootcamp folder.
