Q: Share operation master file has failed error code 27

I have a mac book pro running 10.11.4 and up to date version of Final Cut Pro.. I have successfully shared my project to apple devices but it will not share as a master file. I get the message

The share operation "Master File" has failed

The operation could not be completed because on error occurred while exporting (error 27).

I have tried using a different codec to no avail.

Please can anyone help

Thanks for your help. I have successfully saved it to another backup disc which its correctly formatted and reformatted this one. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Formatting will erase any info on your the disc, so before proceeding SAVE any important files.
With a Mac you use Disc Utility which is located in the Utilities folder.

Format external drives to Mac OS Extended before using with Aperture - Apple Support
