Can't make new playlists

HI,

im unable to make new playlists - adding songs to a new playlist or existing playlist won't work, when pressing 'done' it will load and then crash the Apple Music app.

i Have enough space, I have spoken to support and they tried everything including reseting all networks and settings.

HAs has anyone else got anything I can try? All settings in music are correct including music offline etc.

Howdy hotshot1987,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

If I understand correctly, the Music app on your iOS device is quitting unexpectedly when attempting to create a playlist. Try taking a look at the article below and running through the general app troubleshooting tips that it provides.

If an app you installed unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open - Apple Support

Restart the app

Close the app and open it again.

Restart your device

Turn your device off and back on.

Check for iOS and app updates

Make sure that you're using latest version of iOS.

If the issue persists, try restoring your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad and setting it up as a new device as described here:

How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups - Apple Support

After erasing and setting up as a new device, your device is now in a factory configuration. Re-try what you were trying when you first found the issue to determine if erasing and setting up as a new device resolved the issue. Content on the device might have caused the unexpected behavior.

  • If the issue persists, you might want to contact Apple Support.
  • If the issue is resolved, sync one type of content at a time back to your device. For example, if you had an issue playing music, add songs from iTunes and confirm that they will play. If your contacts weren't loading successfully, add the contacts back. After each sync, test to see if the issue has returned.

Cheers.
