apple news invalid link

I just upgraded to iOS 9.3.1 (from 9.3) on the iPhone 5S. The Apple News app is now broken -- most of the articles are missing the thumbnail pictures and if I tap into the article it gives a "Can't Open" error that says "News can't open this channel or story because the link is invalid."

Agreed. Apples TV and News apps have been inoperable lately. Inexcusable in my opinion and such a shame. Not acceptable Apple.
