Erratic Mouse Tracking

I recently purchased a new 27" iMac running OS X 10.11.4 and am having a problem with erratic mouse tracking. The mouse acts like it gets "caught up" on something and then it snaps back to where it should be. I have experienced this with the Magic Mouse that came with it, a Logitech bluetooth mouse and a wireless Logitech mouse and it's the same problem with all of them. They are all clean and the mouse pad is one that I have used for ages with no problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Change the Tracking speed in System Preferences > Mouse > Point & Click

See if that makes a difference.

It should not have to be set to Fast to work properly.

A Safe Mode boot deletes system caches that may help.

Top left corner of your screen click the Apple  > Shut Down.

After your Mac shuts down, wait 10 seconds, then press the power button.

Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold down the Shift key. You should press the Shift key as soon as possible after you hear the startup tone, but not before.

Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple logo and progress indicator.

Once you are in Safe Mode, go back to the Apple  menu. From the drop down menu click: Restart

Then test a mouse.
