Deleting Folders in iCloud Drive
I'm having problems finding the method to use to delete/remove an existing folder. Or do I have a learning deficit?

You don't say how you are accessing iCloud Drive when you are attempting to delete the folder. If you are doing it from an internet browser logged in to https://www.icloud.com/#iclouddrive then you can delete a folder by clicking on it once to select (highlight) it and then click the trash can icon in the bar across the top of the window.
