Converting from Apple lossless to MP3

Hi

I want to get a selection of my music onto a USB stick so I can plug it into my car stereo. There used to be a convert to MP3 option in iTunes, but Apple seem to have sneakily removed it. . Grrr. So please can someone tell me how I can go about getting a load of music, mostly Apple Lossless, onto a USB stick in MP3 format for those long journeys. I have been using my iPod Classic into the stereo jack, but USB would be much more convenient. Thank you.
