Need Music App Replacement-NO Stream!

I am very, very disappointed with the Music App on my iPod Touch. It is very difficult to use. What I need is an app that will replace "Music". I want it to recognize the music I have in memory, and hopefully, my playlists. About 99% of the apps out there are Free Streaming and Cloud Apps. Well, I don't have internet access when I am driving, so I need access to my library ONLY.

Has anyone found this magic unicorn? Please help... very frustrated with Apple right now.

Hi Schneb, no Magic Unicorn here but if you were to explain what you dislike about Music perhaps I could help. By happenstance another experienced user like you just posted on the iPad forum, related goal but not the same. Maybe my comments there might help you.

As provided, you cannot do what you want.

Itunes and the music app is how you store and play music form the iPhone. What is the issue with the Music app?

Click on artist and select the 8 different ways you can list your music, including genre.

All my music is there, including stuff from cd, Amazon and hdtracks. No streaming for me.

For the W10 issue try:

That issue can be resolved.

You can also sort by genre. For the others, well you know.... 😟

Wow, they really HID that! Ok, I have chosen genres. Anyway to get rid of "recently added"?

Alas, I cannot find it in the Devices and Printers section. And yes, I do click "Allow" on the iPod Touch. :-(

I wrote a list of why I do not like or appreciate regarding the Music App, but the admin deleted it.

Yes, I saw it and the reason I posted the W10 suggestion above. If you cannot find the iPod in Devices and Printers you may have to go to Device Manager (ask Cortana to find Device Manager) and under the USB section, try to delete the driver for Apple there. I would have to move to the PC to be more specific.

The good news is it just popped in to my music section. Go figure? I ain't arguin'. I looked under Devices and Printers and it still did not show up there. OK, so now I can add and delete music and playlists... if I can just figure out iTunes 12... ugh... no comment. Don't want this to be deleted.
