iPod classic want to restore to factory cannot remember password

I have two iPod classics that I want to recycle. I cannot remember the password associated with either of them. When I connect to iTunes and click on Restore option, it asks for a password that I do not recall.

Any suggestions for me?

Thanks in advance!

An iPod classic does not need a password for iTunes to perform a Restore. I think it's asking for your Mac's admin user account password. Enter the password you normally enter when you authorizing changes on your Mac, like when installing new software.
