You can use services like iCloud or Dropbox to upload your iDevice's video and photo/image content to then download it from iCloud or DropBox installed on your computer.

Another method is to use an app that either uses your local, home WiFi network or Bluetooth connections on your iDevice and computer to wirelessly transfer videos and photos/images to your computer.

I use a wireless app called Photo Transfer app from the iOS App Store that transfers photos/images and videos to my Mac wirelessly over my WiFi network.

There are other such similar apps.

Find one that's suits your needs.

Good Luck!

Importing or backing up photos and videos, I believe is problematic on iTunes for Windows PC.

There is no iPhoto or Photos app to import them to.

Doing ceratain things through iTunes is significantly different on a Windows PC than on a Mac.

Certain things are much easier to accomplish with iTunes on a Mac.

I am not a PC user. So, I am not sure how this would work with iTunes on a PC with no obvious place or app to import them to.

I have a 2014 MacBook Pro El Capitan and three Dell PCs, two on W7 and one new one (super fast i7 Skylake processor) on W10. I routinely import my photos to the W10 PC and was able to do so with ease in W7 as well. Both W7 and W10 have photos apps and have importing routines. iTunes on a PC is nearly identical to iTunes on a Mac and works as easily. The only difference I have seen is the upper menu which is ever so slightly different. I use iTunes on the W10 as my main iTunes. In fact they are so similar that when I want to have the same content on my Mac I simply copy the iTunes folder on the PC to a flash drive and then paste it in Finder under Music, never an issue so far. Many people dislike Windows but I can say with confidence that there is nothing I can do on the Mac that I cannot do on Windows but the reverse is not true, there is a long list of things I can do on Windows that I cannot do on my Mac. File Explorer is far superior to Finder.
