Q: el capitain ibook camera stopped working

I use my camera regularly for work with distance clients via a skype type applicaiton,  on my ibook desktop, but suddenly this morning no camera.  Photo booth also says `there is no connected camera'. 

Whats up? I have El Capitain 10.11.3.  Thank you
